Free roam UX Design
One part of my contributions to the players experience was the free roam UI that I designed and programmed, Included in this interface is a working minimap and compass, player stats (health), hot key icons and changing text based upon where the player is located in the level.
UX for Menus
It was important for me to design and create menus which made the game stand out, hold complex information whilst also being simple enough for new players to understand and navigate seamlessly.
Detail Design
As this game is being made with only a small amount of developers, most of us took on multiple roles. Personally I helped to place the assets which make up the markets of each town. Making sure that each market was unique in its sizing, colour and design I meticulously placed each asset by hand to get the design we wanted to fit beautifully into the landscape and theme of the town.
